News

The helicopter was designed in the USA for the American News Networks and therefore it's official name is the R44 Newscopter by the Robinson factory. Being fully equipped and ready to go at a moments notice, Heli Cam provides a quick response unit to a situation fast and efficiently. With the onboard transmitter all video and audio can be transmitted LIVE to the studio.

Sports

A bird’s eye view of any sporting event is invaluable and a helicopter mounted camera can shoot from any location, height and angle that a ground based camera can not obtain.
As a floating camera platform that can be placed anywhere , it allows the cameraman to get the optimum shot.
At a top speed of 150mph the helicopter can chase most speeding vehicles and with an endurance of over 3 hours there is less time spent flying for refuelling and more time to capture the important shots.
More sporting events are providing large viewing screens to audiences at the venue so to watch the event while it's happening out of spectator’s views. The helicopter has a built in microwave transmitter, directional antenna and a portable ground based receiver to allow a live picture to be beamed back to the big screen so the audiences do not miss a thing.
You will find that it is a very affordable way to capture New Zealand's sporting moments.

Production

Heli Cam Aviation can cater for all types of productions whether it being:
- Corporate
- Advertising
- Documentary
- Television
- Real Estate

Bringing stabilised aerial pictures to a production lifts the professionalism of the final product and helps captivate the client and viewers.

Surveying

An additional piece of equipment onboard the helicopter is the Video Titler. This device allows the helicopters GPS information and other vital information needed for permanent record. This allows all recorded footage to have, superimposed, the helicopters position in Lat / Long and/or Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinates, and with the keyboard the surveyor can type any information that will be permanently stored onto the tape for future records/viewing.

For safety it is always better to be able to remain at a safe distance and height from the ground and the objects you are surveying. The 42× zoom from the Canon lens allows the helicopter to be at a safe distance promoting safety to its occupants, the general public and property on the ground.
